Pancho Barnes' Music

Pancho Barnes excelled at almost anything she tried. In the early 1950's she tried songwriting and had at least nine of her compositions recorded by Jerry Wallace, Sons of the Pioneers, Stan Worth, and the Kings Four. One of her songs, 'By Your Side' was a huge hit for Jerry Wallace, sold over 1 million copies, and was on the Hit Parade. Other songs by Pancho Barnes include "Song of the Air Force", "Hello Heaven," "Yippee It's Rodeo Day," "You Can't Get Me Down, Down, Down," "Mojave Moon," and "Moon Crazy."

Pancho Barnes was elected to the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) as well as the American Guild of Authors and Composers.

Pancho Barnes Enterprises, through its subsidiaries, Oro Verde Publishing and Blue Coconut Records, owns all copyrights to her more than 60 compositions.
